What Happened To The Name Change Vote?
Mr. Matthews starts his deception with illegal Article changes!

The only legal change to the Articles of Incorporation that the congregation authorized was the change of the corporation's name from the Elk River Assembly of God Church to Solid Rock Church.  It was simply a name change vote!  In fact, this was virtually the only change to the Articles of Incorporation that Mr. William N. Matthews presented to the congregation.

The other changes that were made are illegal and demonstrate two facts about Mr. Matthews. First, that virtually only a few short months from the time Mr. Matthews was voted senior pastor, he started to steal the church by manipulation of the Articles of Incorporation and the trustees of the church.  Secondly, that Mr. Matthews successfully deceived the board of trustees of the congregation by getting their signatures on these documents filed with the state.  Documents that perpertrate lies upon the congregation and State of Minnesota.  Had anyone on the board even read these documents?  It doesn't appear so.  Mr. Matthews presented himself to Elk River Assembly of God with 20 years of ministry experience.  It can only be concluded that he had the experience to fully know what he was doing to these corporate articles.

The substance of the changes made in the documents that follow are all illegal except for the name name.  They were made in violation of Minnesota Law; the established Church By-Laws that specify how Article changes are to be made; and, established Articles Of Incorporation which are based fully upon Minnesota Law at Chapter 317.
